    Rencana Kerja Untrib Kalabahi Tahun 2023/2024 yang disampaikan Alvons, antara lain masih fokus untuk meningkatkan jumlah dosen yang berpendidikan S3 atau Doktor sehingga memenuhi standar yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai Akreditasi Baik Sekali dan Unggul. Saat ini, ungkap Alvons, ada fakultas di Untrib yang punya akreditasi baik karena punya dosen S3, sehingga dia berharap agar semua fakultas harus punya dosen-dosen berpendidikan S3.

    Kedepannya, Alvons menekankan bahwa Untrib Kalabahi tidak hanya terpaku dalam lingkungan kampus, tetapi ingin mengabdi untuk melayani masyarakat. Karena itu, tahun ini pihaknya mencoba untuk KBPM (Kegiatan Belajar dan Pendampingan Masyarakat) tidak sekedar melihat apa potensi yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat, tetapi membantu masyarakat.

    “Di 45 desa sasaran KBPM kali ini kita tempatkan mahasiswa, dan kita berupaya semaksimal mungkin, sekiranya kita bisa membantu membuat pemetaan SWOT (Strengths/kekuatan, Weakness/kelemahan, Opportunities/peluang, Threats/ancaman) untuk 45 desa. Kita ingin untuk ada pemetaan SWOT untuk bidang pertanian di masing-masing desa, ada pemetaan SWOT untuk pendidikan, kesehatan, peternakan dan pariwisata. Hari ini kita kesulitan data tentang potensi apa yang perlu kita kembangkan di setiap desa. Untuk itu, Untrib ingin membantu pemerintah dengan menyiapkan Dokumen SWOT untuk 45 desa sasaran KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata),”tegas Alvons.

    Dia percaya dengan kegiatan tersebut, akan juga menolong dosen untuk bisa menghasilkan karya-karya yang bisa terpublikasi dari Pemetaan SWOT untuk lima atau enam bidang di 45 desa.     Tahun 2023 inipun, beber Alvons, Untrib Kalabahi sedang dalam proses pembukaan Program Study Theology atau Fakultas Theology.     Untrib juga, ujar Alvons, sedang dalam proses pembukaan Program Study Bisnis Pariwisata, karena sudah punya sejumlah dosen yang saat ini sedang study S3 di Amerika, maupun di Udayana Bali dan UGM Jogyakarta yang mengambil bidang pariwisata.
    Tak hanya itu, karena menurut Alvons, Untrib juga sedang dalam proses untuk pembukaan Program Study Pendidikan Guru PAUD, sesuai permintaan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Alor saat masih dipimpin Alberth N.Ouwpoly,S.Pd.,M.Si., karena katanya ada 200-an PAUD di daerah ini yang masih kekurangan guru.

    Di akhir pidatonya, Alvons menyampaikan selamat dan sukses kepada para wisudawan.

    “Saya atas nama seluruh Civitas Akademika Untrib Kalabahi, menyampaikan selamat dan sukses kepada 324 adik-adik yang akan diwisudah pada hari ini. Kami percaya dan berdoa, bahwa masa depan sungguh ada, dan harapan tidak akan hilang. Tuhan telah menyediakan yang terbaik untuk sudara-saudara sekalian,”pungkas Alvons disambut aplaus hadirin.

    Kepada para wisudawan, Alvons mengemukakan bahwa masih ada sekitar 8000 hekatre lahan potensial di daerah ini untuk mengembangkan jambu mente. Saya katakan di awal tadi, diantara kita, mungkin ada yang mendapat kesempatan (menjadi PNS), tetapi di sekitar kita juga ada kesempatan-kesempatan yang memungkinkan untuk bisa melakukan usaha. Telur ayam kita masih datangkan dari Jawa, karena kita belum menghasilkan telur ayam dengan baik di Alor, maka wisudawan masih punya peluang untuk melakukan usaha di bidang ini.

Sebagaimana Keputusan Rektor Untrib Kalabahi Nomor 24 Tahun 2023 tentang Pengukuhan Lulusan Sarjana, yang dibacakan Kepala Biro Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan, John I.Molina,S.Kom.,M.Kom., terdapat 324 wisudawan. Jumlah wisudawan tersebut dari lima fakultas, yakni Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam terdiri dari Program Studi (Prodi) Matematika, Prodi Kimia, Prodi Teknik Informatika. Fakultas Pertanian dan Perikanan: Prodi Teknologi Hasil Pertanian, Prodi Agribisnis dan Prodi Perikanan. Fakultas Hukum: Prodi Ilmu Hukum. Fakultas Ekonomi: Prodi Manajemen.
