    Ketua KPU Alor, Munawir Laamin dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa kita berada di penghujung perjalanan panjang tahapan Pemilihan (Pilkada) Serentak Tahun 2024, kiranya (warga) Kabupaten Alor tetap teduh tenang dalam memilih Calon Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur NTT serta Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Alor dengan aman dan lancar.

    “Untuk itu demi memastikan bahwa tidak ada KPU neko-neko. KPU yang berlogokan garuda dengan latar merah putih, menegaskan bahwa KPU berpihak pada kepentingan merah putih dan garuda (bendera dan lambang NKRI). Maka di malam ini, kami memusnahkan surat suara yang rusak atau yang mengalami kelebihan, untuk memastikan kepada semua publik bahwa (surat suara) yang digunakan  adalah yang telah tersegel dalam kotak suara, yang telah didistribusikan ke 510 TPS (Tempat Pemungutan Suara) di seluruh wilayah Kabupaten Alor,”kata Nawir.

Total 65 lembar. Demikian Berita Acara ini dibuat sebenarnya untuk digunakan sebagaimana mestinya,”tegas Nawir.

    Berita Acara tersebut kemudian ditanda tangani bersama oleh Ketua KPU Alor, Munawir Laamin, Ketua Bawaslu Alor Orias Langmau dan Kapolres Alor, AKBP.Supriadi Rahman.           

    Selanjutnya Munawir Laamin mempersilahkan Pj.Bupati Alor, Dr.Drs.Zet Soni Libing,M.Si menyampaikan sambutan dan memimpin pemusnahan surat suara dimaksud.

    Kesempatan itu Zet Libing menekakan bahwa pemusnahan tersebut memberitahukan kepada publik bahwa tidak ada surat suara yang lebih dan tidak ada yang menyembunyikan, semuanya transparan, dan yang rusak itu dimusnahkan dengan cara dibakar.
